MANAGER SELECTION AND DUE DILIGENCE PROCESS
2. Manager Due Diligence
Quantitative. The Massey Quick Simon Research Team utilizes our proprietary quantitative models to analyze the risk characteristics of the manager's net monthly returns since inception.
Qualitative. The Research Team conducts on-site visits with managers who are approved for formal due diligence and meets key firm personnel.
Operational. The team also conducts a review of the manager's service providers, documentation, marketing materials, back office procedures, pricing/valuation policies, technology safeguards, and more.
4. Ongoing Due Diligence
The Research Team's ongoing due diligence includes frequent meetings, calls and on-site visits, as well as review and analysis of updates, portfolio positions and risk/exposure reports. The team will monitor each manager to determine if consideration for termination of that manager is warranted. Such factors may include management changes or other key organizational issues, style drift, unexpected increase in risk profile, discrepancies of information, failure to meet performance expectations.
